A lot has changed since I wrote my last entry. I finally got my driver's license and bought a car. I got a tattoo (my first and likely my only, which seems to baffle people even more than saying you don't want one at all).  I went back to school and am working towards getting my paralegal certification.
But the biggest change is with my job. The dealership where I worked was sold over the summer, and while I loved working with the new owners, the controller was a complete ass. When it started to look like he was setting us up to take some of the blame for his mistakes, I sent out my resume. Now I'm a secretary in a patent attorney's off

So you may or may not have heard about the Duck Dynasty fiasco. If not, Google's your friend.
Most of my family watches the show; I can't stand it. It makes not one bit of difference to me what happens because one old man couldn't keep his opinions printable. But I do take issue with people screaming over his right to free speech and A&E's horrible censorship of his views. What he expressed wasn't so bad, they say. Rampant liberal PC attitudes are destroying us, they whine.

Maybe not so many changes

So it's been awhile. I do have some updates.
Dad gets to keep his job. For now, anyway. Which means he's stopped looking for anything new, which is driving Mom insane. Her thinking is that if his company did it once, they'll do it again, and his is that...the devil you know, maybe? I'm not even going to pretend to understand him.
Next month will mark a year since I started at the dealership, and I'll probably start putting my application out again. Part of me doesn't want to go, but the rational side of my head knows that's stupid.
